Power of your Om

Gosh I am so happy that a new yoga studio opened up in Santa Barbara. It desperately needed a good yoga class. I have been looking for a good one since I moved here. (My ‘good’ means you barely crawl out of the class…)  Power of your Om - it’s heated power yoga, but not Bikram hot (and stinky).  My body is still shaking from the morning class- exactly what I was looking for.
(no meditating/chanting yoga for me please ^*^ ) And having a zero body fat pretty instructor doesn’t hurt either. It does motivates you, you know.
I eat healthy 70~80% of the day to keep my body alkaline balanced especially I love food too much. Then at dinner, I have no fear. I enjoy all kinds of food, dessert and wine. Don’t deprive yourself of anything you crave for. :)  But I do enjoy light breakfast including this green smoothie. I eat some fruits first thing in the morning and work out then enjoy my green smoothie! Replace your dense breakfast with this nutrient packed smoothie, your skin will glow, look younger and will be full of energy which I may have too much….my acupuncturist said I have more Yang than Ying. MAYBE I do need meditating/chanting yoga after all………..oooommmmmmmmmm

Ingredients
1 cup of chopped variety of greens (I use organic dandelion, red/yellow swiss chard, spinach, kale and cilantro with stems)
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup coconut water
Quarter of avocado
Quarter of apple
1 Tablespoon brewer’s yeast (great source of vitamins, mineral, protein!)
dash of maple syrup

Preparation
1. Wash and chop the greens
2. Blend all the ingredients together in your favorite hand mixer or blender
3. Adjust thickness by adding more almond milk or coconut water
4. Cheers to power of you green Om
