Seagrass Restaurant

I was my first time eating at this restaurant….it always seemed too stuck up, and I didn’t hear enough nice things about it to make a visit before. But we had this coupon deal (Santa barbara axxess card) of get one entree, second entree free! I couldn’t pass out on the deal….
We had to be seated before 7pm. Yup it was early bird special…! But I didn’t mind. As I get older, I do like the idea of eating dinner early and go to bed early….hahahaha :)
Apparently  the restaurant has a new owner…Chef Robert Perez and his family. I expected it to be really stuck up and fancy….but Ruben (the son) on the phone when I made a last min reservation was so funny and casual, I already had a good feeling walking into the place. I don’t know because it’s now ‘family’ owned, it has this intimate feeling which I love (Like ‘Downey’s). And food was AMAZING!!!!!!!!  All sustainable seafood prepared to a perfection. They said they did Santa Barbara Axxess Card deal to bring more local customers. I’m telling you, it worked. We will be regular. They also have market tasting menu from Sunday to Thursday for $35. Seagrass – by new favorite restaurant in town!!! Try their ‘Loup de Mer’…… I’m still ‘high’ from it. AMAZING!

My husband refuses going to dinner with me when I bring my big camera….so these are taken with my iphone…..he tried to give it a lighting with candle….
